Football watch party MVP
Even if the allure of football escapes you, the start of another season is the perfect excuse to throw a party. It doesn’t matter if you’re watching college or pro, or only supporting your fantasy football team — snag these ideas and become the neighborhood’s sporting hotspot.
Set the tone.
Streamers, pom poms, and balloons deck out your home — but don’t forget to decorate yourselves, too! Set up a face painting station, provide outrageous wigs in team colors, and capture kids’ short attention spans with a make-your-own jersey project.
Gridiron Grub.
Finger foods are ideal for preoccupied munchers, but you’re not limited to delivery pizza and bags of chips. Homemade soft pretzels with a spicy dipping sauce and crunchy green bean fries tantalize the taste buds. If the game goes into overtime, be ready with adorable (and super easy!) football brownies.
Halftime Scrimmage.
Work up a sweat during halftime by playing a quick scrimmage. Be sure to include little ones, and award the toughest of the bunch with a small MVP trophy.
